The Digital Public History Minor serves as a laboratory for a broader transformation in History and Digital Media and Design. Historians build upon technical skills in disciplines such as web design and animation, while aiming to understand a complex world of diverse cultures and traditions. DMD students will develop historical content expertise and a grounding in the critical thinking methods of the humanities while collaborating with researchers outside of their disciplines.
Our emphasis is on learning to successfully implement technical skills, read critically, and merge skills from both fields together. Our students become equipped with analytical skills that will enable them to continue to learn and develop within their fields of interest.
